Designing Unique & Special Mountain Resorts That Work

The creation of our plans is more than a mechanical exercise. It is a planning process where we take into account the reasons why people are attracted to mountain resort areas. We work closely with our clients to help clarify their vision of their resort development projects. We carefully consider the physical and environmental capabilities of the land to support the proposed resort development. Throughout the process we proactively address issues that will impact on the sustainability of the project, environmentally, socially and economically.

Village & Base Area Planning

The village and base areas of mountain resorts play many roles. First and foremost they are the complement to the attraction. They need to act as the staging area, catering to the needs and expectations of the resort patrons. Building on that, they must act as the dynamic focal point of the resort, defining its individuality, promoting social interaction and commercial exchange. Our plans delineate the appropriate size and scale of all components of the base areas and villages in the balance with the carrying capacity of the resort’s recreational activities and attractions.
