Village & Base Area PlanningThe village and base areas of mountain resorts play many roles. First and foremost they are the complement to the attraction. They need to act as the staging area, catering to the needs and expectations of the resort patrons. Building on that, they must act as the dynamic focal point of the resort, defining its individuality, promoting social interaction and commercial exchange.
