Lake Louise Ski Area Mountain Master Plan
The Long-Range Plan for the Lake Louise Ski Area was undertaken to guide the evolution of this iconic, world-class ski resort, ensuring it continues to provide a high-quality guest experience while protecting and celebrating the surrounding Banff National Park.
BHA was engaged to complete the Mountain Master Plan for the Lake Louise Ski Area, a core piece of the larger Long-Range Plan. It included a comprehensive assessment of the existing alpine ski offerings and built space, analysis of the physical characteristics of the study area, and the creation and iterative refinement of the concept for the future of alpine skiing at Lake Louise Ski Area.
Working with the Lake Louise Ski Area and Parks Canada as part of a team of consultants, BHA developed a preferred concept for the on-mountain facilities that respected and enhanced the national park setting while ensuring the high-quality ski experience that the Lake Louise Ski Area is known for. Throughout the planning process, BHA also played a key role in organizing, coordinating, and distributing GIS data and the various reports and chapters developed as part of the Long-Range Planning exercise.
BHA is excited to watch the Lake Louise Ski Area evolve as a premier international ski destination and a centre for the preservation and appreciation of Banff National Park.
