Overview

Located in Canada’s Rocky Mountains, Pass Powderkeg is a community-oriented ski resort with a reputation of providing a great family-friendly ski experience.

BHA was engaged to create a Master Plan Concept for Pass Powderkeg. The Master Plan Concept highlighted the attributes and future potential of the ski area, with the intention of informing interested parties, stakeholders, financiers, and the public about the opportunities at Pass Powderkeg. To create the Concept, BHA undertook a series of site analyses, identified opportunities and constraints, and created various concepts. High-quality graphics and 3D visualizations assisted in conveying the proposed concept to local governing bodies, council members, and interested investor groups.

The resultant Master Plan Concept outlined the existing conditions, the physical potential for improvements and expansion, and the phased implementation which illustrated the gradual development of new lifts and trails, expanded base area development with the possible incorporation of slope side resort residential accommodation.
